Optional Hardware The following hardware options are available for this computer. Floppy Disk Drives - One external drive option is available: * ZA-180-88 - Modem/FAX card Numeric Coprocessor - The computer supports one coprocessor option: - Z-416-SS - 8OC287 numeric coprocessor. Keypad - An optional keypad is available: ZA-3034-NP - 24-key numeric keypad. Power - Power options include: * ZA-180-85 - Fast recharge nickel-cadmium battery pack * AC adapter 16.5 VDC 2.5 A (3.2 A maximum) minus in the center plug. System Expansion - An optional expansion chassis is available: Introduction Entering the Monitor There are two methods to enter the program: Program CTRL-ALT-INS - Press and hold the CTRL, ALT, and INS keys and then release them. A message similar to the following appears: MFM-200 Monitor, version x.x Enter '?' for help The first line indicates the ROM version. The second line indicates how much memory is installed, including base and extended memory. The third line gives the syntax for the help command. The last line contains the Monitor prompt (->). CTRL-ALT-ENTER - If the CTRL-ALT-INS key combination does not force the computer to enter the Monitor program, press and hold the CTRL, ALT, and ENTER keys, and then release them. The CPU register contents are displayed on the screen, followed by the Monitor prompt. Note: In some cases the CPU can lock up, preventing access by either method. If this happens, turn off the computer, wait 20 seconds, then turn it back on. This clears the CPU and allows you to use the CTRL ALT-INS key combination. Specifications CPU Clock Speed: 6/12 MHz, keyboard selectable. Coprocessor: Optional Intel 16-bit 8OC287. Memory Expansion: Five megabytes maximum using optional 2-megabyte memory modules. Configuration: 256K, 512K, or 640K base memory; EMS memory; and extended memory (up to limit of installed memory), selectable from the SETUP Analog: Horizontal Sync: 31.49 kHz. Vertical Sync: 50 - 70 Hz, depending on video mode and monitor. Video Display: VGA, video emulation supports EGA, CGA, MDA, and HGC (Hercules Graphics Card) video modes.
